An Integrative Workshop for Enhancing Stage Presence This immersive workshop is designed to empower dancers to achieve an unparalleled level of stage presence during their performances. This transformative experience incorporates a blend of emotional work and physical conditioning. We must enjoy the work we create so our objective is to not only produce exceptional work but also to effectively communicate what words can not on stage, encapsulating the essence of artistic mastery.

SHIMMY POWER
Build a strong and effective Shimmy! Omaris will focus on what drives our hips—the powerful drum beats!
Learn the technique and Omaris's tips.  Drill your shimmies, building accents and adding layers, all set to the rhythms in the music.  This workshop will be based on technique and drills. Dance to the beats in your body... Feel the beat in your soul!

THE FIRE OF THE SPANISH GITANAS

A Spanish skirt routine (a modern twist for an ancient art). (all levels)

Have you ever wondered how the gitanas (Spanish women whose dance evolved into flamenco) get to leave everyone speechless when they dance with their skirts? Now you have the chance to find out! In this workshop we will break down the skirt work that united with the arm movements, posture, and expression will build up a brand-new routine designed to catch the room on fire! Bring a skirt and your best ole!!

What do we get when we combine the ancient art of dancing to a drum solo with the sneakiness, precision and power of isolations, pops and locks and layers of transnational fusion?...come get it!! In this workshop we will break down the steps and combos that will build into a very powerful routine…be ready to get challenged!!

ALLURING SLOW MOVEMENTS
Convey your emotions using slow movements and creating interesting pauses during your performance.  Don’t be afraid to slow down! Omaris will share techniques and tips to dance in a slower but more effective way. A powerful weapon to get the audience’s attention. The workshop will focus on drills and techniques with varied movements, creating texture and interesting angles giving you the fluidity to get the most out of your slow belly dance movements.

YANA'S ROMANTIC BELLYDANCE CHOREOGRAPHY

~ This winter open your heART and fall in love with Yana’s Romantic Bellydance Choreography to the song “Khodnyh Ma3ak” (Besame Mucho) by Rola Zaki.  In this 2 - hour workshop, Yana will teach a unique lyrical, romantic choreography, full of emotional connection and expression through the Art of Bellydance.  Dancers of all levels are welcome to join.

CREATING A BEAUTIFUL BALANCING ACT: An Original SWORD Routine

In this workshop, we will learn a full choreography using a sword as the exciting element to mesmerize our audiences! The routine will include slow and sinuous movements and a fast and furious section with energy and fire!!! We will break down the most intricate of steps so you can go home with a good foundation to master them! This dance is designed to be performed without Floorwork. However, Silvia will offer Floorwork options at the end of the workshop for those interested.
